Don't let bad phone support get in the way of a good relationship

Would you put your best friend on hold for 10 minutes? Probably not.

Well, not unless you had the world’s best hold music.

Yet many customers get the “hold shoulder” treatment when they call looking for help. Or worse, they enter the transfer circle of hell—being repeatedly passed from one agent to the next, forced to repeat the same information in an endless and repetitive nightmare.

Phone support doesn’t have to make your customers crazy. In fact, it’s one of the easiest ways you can build a great customer service and better relationships with your customers. Using a phone support solution that includes warm transfer, IVR (interactive voice response), and customer data can be the difference between a catastrophe and a great conversation.

What are your best or worst experiences calling a company for help? Tell us your funny customer service stories in the comments below!
