About this app
See the customer's WooCommerce orders on the ticket, and sort them out without leaving Zendesk. When someone writes in about an order, Basketwell shows every order they placed in your store next to the ticket: items, totals, shipping, payment, refunds, tracking and order notes, with their lifetime value. Agents you allow can refund, change an order's status, resend an order email or add an order note, and every action is written to the ticket as an internal note.
Basketwell is built by Great Work LLC. It is not made or endorsed by Zendesk or WooCommerce. WooCommerce is a trademark of Automattic Inc.
Every order, matched automatically
- Found by every email address on the requester's Zendesk profile: orders from their store account and guest checkouts alike.
- Each order in full: items with SKUs and prices, discounts and coupons, shipping method and address, tax, payment method, refunds with their reasons, and the customer's note at checkout.
- Tracking from the Shipment Tracking data on the order and from order notes that mention a tracking number.
- Lifetime value and average order, net of refunds, plus how many orders are still open. One click opens the order or the customer in your WooCommerce admin.
No match? Look up any order number or email from the sidebar.
Actions with guard rails
- Refund in full or in part, with a reason: through the payment gateway, or recorded only when you return the money another way. The amount can never exceed what is left on the order.
- Change status to processing, on hold, completed or cancelled. Basketwell never marks an unpaid order as paid, and warns before a cancellation that does not refund a payment.
- Resend an order email (order details, processing, completed and the others WooCommerce offers for that order).
- Add an order note, private or sent to the customer.
Every action shows a confirmation before anything is sent.
- You decide who may act: admins only by default, or agents, custom roles or groups you list. Each action type can be switched off, and refunds above a limit you set need an admin.
Logged on the ticket, every time
- After WooCommerce accepts an action, Basketwell adds an internal note to the ticket with the order, amounts, reason, agent and their note, plus a tag (
basketwell_refund,basketwell_statusand so on) you can use in views and reports. If the store's answer gets lost on the way, Basketwell checks the order again before saying anything, so an action is never sent twice.
Several stores
Connect up to three WooCommerce stores, for example one per brand or region. Basketwell opens the store mapped to the ticket's brand, and agents can switch.
Plan (billed monthly by Zendesk)
Standard: $15 per Zendesk account per month, for every agent. Every feature is included. 14-day trial; Zendesk asks for a card at install and billing starts when the trial ends unless you uninstall.
Your data
Your consumer secret is stored as a Zendesk secure setting. It never reaches agents' browsers: Zendesk adds it to each request on the way to your store, and only to the store domain you entered. A Read key gives the sidebar; Read/Write is needed only for the actions you turn on. Basketwell has no Great Work server, keeps no copy of your WooCommerce or Zendesk data, has no export, sends nothing to Great Work or anyone else (not even usage statistics), does no background work and uses no AI. Nothing to install in WordPress.

- In WordPress, go to WooCommerce > Settings > Advanced > REST API > Add key. Describe it as "Basketwell for Zendesk", pick a shop manager or administrator user, and choose Read/Write to allow actions (refunds, status changes, order emails, order notes) or Read for a view-only sidebar. Click Generate API key and keep the page open: WooCommerce shows the consumer secret only once.
Install Basketwell from the Zendesk Marketplace and choose the Standard plan. The 14-day trial starts now; Zendesk asks for a card and starts billing when the trial ends unless you uninstall.
- Fill in Store domain with the domain only, in lowercase, like
shop.example.com(nohttps://, no path). If WordPress lives in a sub-folder, put it in WordPress path, like/shop. - Paste the Consumer key (
ck_...) and the Consumer secret (cs_...). Zendesk stores the secret as a secure setting; agents never see it and Zendesk only sends it to the store domain you entered. Optional: add a second or third store with its own domain, keys and name, and list the Zendesk brand ids that should open each store.
- Choose Who may take actions:
admin(the default),agentfor everyone, custom role ids, orgroup:<id>for groups, separated by commas. Switch each action type on or off, and set the Largest refund without an admin (0 means no limit). Open a ticket from a customer. Basketwell shows their orders in the sidebar. Actions write an internal note on the ticket.
Your store needs HTTPS and WordPress permalinks set to anything but Plain. Resending order emails needs WooCommerce 9.8 or later. If the sidebar says the store answered as if no key was sent, or that a firewall blocked Zendesk, the setup guide at https://greatwork.company/apps/basketwell-for-woocommerce/docs has the fix.
Basketwell creates nothing in your Zendesk account and installs nothing in WordPress. It adds internal notes and basketwell_* tags to tickets only when an agent takes an action; they stay if you uninstall. Uninstalling deletes the stored keys; also revoke the key in WooCommerce.
