About this app

KnowledgeBridge: AI Discoverability Layer for Your Help Center

KnowledgeBridge automatically generates llms.txt and llms-full.txt files from your Zendesk Help Center, making your knowledge base immediately accessible to AI systems, LLM-powered agents, and automated tooling.

What it does

With one click, KnowledgeBridge fetches all published articles from your Help Center, converts them to clean markdown, and assembles two machine-readable output files:

  • llms.txt: A structured index of all articles, organized by category and section, with article URLs and descriptions. Designed for AI systems that need a fast overview of your knowledge base.
  • llms-full.txt: The complete content of every article in markdown format, with metadata frontmatter (title, section, category, labels, locale, updated date, URL). Designed for AI systems that need to read the full content.

Key features

  • Full Help Center export: Fetches all published articles across categories, sections, and locales
  • Smart content filtering: Exclude specific categories, sections, or articles by label (e.g. exclude internal-only or draft tagged articles)
  • Multi-locale support: Generate files for any language your Help Center supports
  • Clean markdown conversion: HTML bodies converted to clean, structured markdown with proper heading normalization, image placeholders, and absolute URL links
  • Instant preview: See the generated files before downloading
  • Flexible export: Download as a ZIP, individual files, or copy to clipboard
  • Rate limit safe: Automatically handles Zendesk API rate limits with transparent backoff and resume

Why llms.txt?

The llms.txt standard (llmstxt.org) is an emerging convention for making website content accessible to AI systems. By hosting these files at your Help Center domain, you enable AI agents, RAG pipelines, and LLM-powered tools to discover and ingest your knowledge base content reliably.

Data and privacy

KnowledgeBridge processes all Help Center content locally in your browser. Article content is never stored on, or transmitted to, CXperiences servers. The app sends only minimal, anonymous usage data (such as article counts and generation timing), never article content, titles, or your Zendesk subdomain, and you can turn this off in Settings. All requests are routed through the Zendesk Apps Framework proxy. Full details are in our privacy policy: https://cxperiences.com/privacy

How to install

  1. Install KnowledgeBridge from the Zendesk Marketplace.

  2. In Zendesk Support, look for the KnowledgeBridge icon in the left navigation bar (the vertical icon rail on the far left). It appears after installation. Click it to open the app.

Generate your first llms.txt in 30 seconds

  1. Click Generate. That's it: by default, KnowledgeBridge includes all published articles from every category and section, using your account's default locale.
  2. Preview the output, then download llms.txt and llms-full.txt as a ZIP or copy to clipboard.

  3. Host the files at your domain (e.g. yourdomain.com/llms.txt) to make your Help Center AI-discoverable.

Optional: customize what's included

  • Uncheck categories or sections to exclude them.

  • Use label filters to exclude internal articles (e.g. internal-only).

  • Set a custom company name and description for the file header.

  • Choose a different locale for multi-language Help Centers.

Troubleshooting

  • Don't see the icon? Refresh Zendesk Support after installing, and confirm the app is enabled under Admin Center > Apps and integrations.

  • Getting a permissions error? KnowledgeBridge needs Help Center read access, and your Help Center must be enabled (Admin > Channels > Help Center).
