EZO AssetSonar powers modern Employee Service Management across the entire asset, software, and employee lifecycle. It unifies IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) directly inside Zendesk—enabling faster, more accurate, and scalable internal service.
AssetSonar for Employees: Employees can request hardware or software access directly from the Zendesk Help Center. This improves accuracy, eliminates duplicate requests, and speeds up fulfillment with real-time software and license visibility. Employees see what software is available while IT receives complete context for every request.
AssetSonar for IT Agents: Within the Zendesk Agent Workspace, agents access detailed requester profiles including assigned devices, installed software, license usage, entitlements, and lifecycle status. AssetSonar supports software access provisioning through Okta, Intune, and Azure—streamlining SAM workflows. Centralized context improves SLAs and increases fulfillment accuracy.
AssetSonar for HR & Ops: Automate onboarding and offboarding with coordinated asset assignments, software provisioning, and access revocation. Okta and Azure AD integrations ensure employees get the right hardware, software, and permissions on day one, and that access is properly revoked at exit. This reduces compliance gaps, security risks, and asset or license loss.
AssetSonar for IT & SAM Teams: AssetSonar centralizes hardware, software, license, and service data to deliver actionable intelligence across IT, HR, Finance, and Compliance. SAM teams can track software usage, identify underutilized licenses, manage renewals, monitor license compliance, and optimize SaaS spend. IT teams gain visibility into end-of-life assets, onboarding/offboarding completion, and total hardware/software spend per employee or team. Automated reports deliver insights for audits, budgeting, and lifecycle planning.

Already have an Account?
Sign in to your Zendesk portal
Sign in to your AssetSonar account
In AssetSonar, go to Settings → Add Ons → Zendesk Integration
Tap the 'Get App On Zendesk' button
You’ll be asked for your Zendesk subdomain
Enter the subdomain. We’ll take care of the rest!
Open any Zendesk ticket and look for the AssetSonar app on the right. If the Apps panel is collapsed, tap the Apps button on the top right to view connected apps
Getting Started
Here are the first few steps that you can do:
Create a staff user AssetSonar, say, joe@mycomapnyname.com
Check out a few assets to Joe
Go to Zendesk and create a ticket for joe@mycompanyname.com
The assets checked out to Joe are shown on the right panel on this ticket. You can also see Joe’s AssetSonar profile details.
Link an asset to the ticket by tapping the green ‘link’ button.
Go to the linked asset in AssetSonar and explore the Zendesk Tickets tab on this asset.
Once your Zendesk and AssetSonar integration is complete, you can then set up AssetSonar’s Service Catalog for seamless IT service delivery. Read our complete Service Catalog setup guide here.
